Audio Amplifier Classroom Microphone System Circuit

This audio amplifier circuit is useful in classrooms to reduce the strain of lecturing ,if the surrounding environment is noisy. It uses the power amplifier IC LM380 that gives 2 watts output which is sufficient in a confined area. The amplifier is portable and the whole circuit and the battery can be enclosed in the Speaker box itself. The circuit uses a preamplifier stage around NPN transistor BC 548 and a power amplifier around LM380.An external Collar MIC can be given to the input using an audio jack .The voice signals are amplified by T1 and fed to IC1 input through the volume control VR. Capacitor C3 reduce the undesirable howling from the speaker. LM380  is the general purpose audio amplifier and its gain is internally fixed at  34 dB . Its output is short circuit proof with internal thermal limiting. The IC works between 5 to 22 volts DC and is dual in line version. Power amplifier for TV audio

In this amplifier circuit using IC TDA8944J as the main amplifier with dual-channel audio amplifier with 2 x 7W output power at 8 Ω impedance. And a minimum supply voltage of 9-18 Volts. In this ic contains two Bridge Tied Load or BTL amplifier. The circuit is often found in audio amplifier in a series of television, besides TDA2003, TDA2006 and so forth. PCB for a series of amplifiers using IC TDA8944J is very compatible with all other types of IC in IC TDA894X family unit , and below is a schematics.

Mini10 W Audio Amplifier

This design is based on the 18 Watt Audio Amplifier, and was developed mainly to satisfy the requests of correspondents unable to locate the TLE2141C chip. It uses the widespread NE5532 Dual IC but, obviously, its power output will be comprised in the 9.5 - 11.5W range, as the supply rails cannot exceed ±18V. 10 W Audio Amplifier Circuit Diagram As amplifiers of this kind are frequently used to drive small loudspeaker cabinets, the bass frequency range is rather sacrificed. Therefore a bass-boost control was inserted in the feedback loop of the amplifier, in order to overcome this problem without quality losses. The bass lift curve can reach a maximum of +16.4dB @ 50Hz. In any case, even when the bass control is rotated fully counterclockwise, the amplifier frequency response shows a gentle raising curve: +0.8dB @ 400Hz, +4.7dB @ 100Hz and +6dB @ 50Hz (referred to 1KHz). Notes: Can be directly connected to CD players, tuners and tape recorders. Schematic shows left channel only, but C3...

TDA8922 Audio Amplifier 2 x 25W

TDA8922   g eneral description: The TDA8922 is a high efficiency class-D audio power amplifier with very low dissipation. The typical output power is 2 × 25 W. The device is available in the HSOP24 power package with a small internal heatsink and in the DBS23P through-hole power package. Depending on the supply voltage and load conditions, a very small or even no external heatsink is required. The amplifier operates over a wide supply voltage range from ±12.5 to ±30 V and consumes a very low quiescent current.  TDA8922 Audio Amplifier 2 x 25W TDA8922  features : High efficiency (∼90%) Operating supply voltage from ±12.5 to ±30 V Very low quiescent current Low distortion Usable as a stereo Single-Ended (SE) amplifier or as a mono amplifier in Bridge-Tied Load (BTL)  Fixed gain of 30 dB in Single-Ended (SE) and 36 dB in Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) High output power Good ripple rejection Internal switching frequency can be overruled by an external clock No swi...

Small Audio Amplifiers Using LM386 and NE5534

Many electronic projects require the use of a small audio amplifier. Be it a radio transceiver, a digital voice recorder, or an intercom, they all call for an audio amp that is small, cheap, and has enough power to provide adequate loudness to fill a room, without pretending to serve a disco! About one Watt RMS seems to be a convenient size, and this is also about the highest power that a simple amplifier fed from 12V can put into an 8 Ohm speaker. A very low saturation amplifier may go as high up as 2 Watt, but any higher power requires the use of a higher voltage power supply, lower speaker impedance, a bridge circuit, or a combination of those. During my many years building electronic things I have needed small audio amps many times, and have pretty much standardized on a few IC solutions, first and and foremost the LM386, which is small, cheap, and very easy to use. But it does not produce high quality audio... For many applications, the advantages weigh more than the distortion an...

Clipping Indicator For Audio Amplifiers

A clipping indicator is a useful accessory on any audio amplifier. It indicates when the amplifier has reached its limit and is clipping the peaks of the audio signal. In practice, quite a lot of clipping can occur before you can hear it. So why is it necessary to know when an amplifier is clipping if you can't notice it? The answer is that clipping "squares up" the waveform and square waves contain lots of higher-frequency harmonics which can easily damage the tweeters in loudspeaker systems. This circuit is a true clipping indicator as opposed to the level indicators that are commonly used in preamplifier stages. The problem with level indicators is that an amplifier's maximum output power is not constant. That's because the amplifier's supply rails are not regulated and so the maximum power available at any given instant varies, depending on the applied signal. The circuit is quite simple and is based on two BD140 PNP transistors and zener diode ZD1. Durin...
