Simple Fluorescent Lamp Inverter Circuit Diagram

This is the Simple Fluorescent Lamp Inverter Circuit Diagram. This inverter is very easy to construct, reliable, and even powerful enough to light up a 15W florescent tube (if you cool your transistor well). The only hard-to-find piece of this baby is the so-called yellow inverter transformer. It's a miniature high frequency transformer that has a 25mm x 20mm x 5mm ferrite core, 30 turns of primary, 15 turns of feedback, and 250 turns of secondary all concentric, wound on plastic frame than wrapped with a 'yellow' adhesive tape. If you can't find it in your local electronic shops then search for old portable rechargeble florescent lanterns since they have at least one yellow inverter. Of course you can wind a handmade transformer which would do the same but it is a very difficult task when you don't have an original to inspire and it will still need an appropriate ferrite core. Economical Desk Lamp For Camping

This LED lamp was originally designed for use on a budget solar-charged 12V electrical system. It is bright enough for comfortable reading at night and features constant LED brightness with diminishing battery voltage. The circuit uses six high-brightness white LEDs mounted in a 90mm diameter reflector. The upper half of a stainless steel ice cream bowl makes a good reflector but almost any torch reflector of a similar size will do. As shown, two banks of three series-connected LEDs are powered from a 12V (nominal) DC supply. The LEDs used are rated at 20mA maximum with a measured voltage drop of 3.2V. Circuit diagram: Economical Desk Lamp Circuit Diagram For Camping Each bank combines an inexpensive LM334 current source IC with a BC558 transistor to provide a constant 20mA to the LED string. Basically, the LM334 controls the base current of the BC558 such that 64mV appears between its "R" and "V-" terminals. With the 3.3O resistor shown, this results in close to th...

New Dark Activated Terrace Lamp

Compact circuit, Can be wired in parallel to existing switches This device allows one or more lamps to illuminate at sunset and turn off at dawn.Q1 and Q2 form a trigger device for the SCR, providing short pulses at 100Hz frequency. Pulse duration is set by R2 and C1.When the light hits R1, the photo resistor assumes a very low resistance value, almost shorting C1 and preventing circuit operation. When R1 is in the dark, its resistance value becomes very high thus enabling circuit operation. Several lamps wired in parallel can be connected to the circuit, provided total power dissipation of th...

Hacking a LAMPAN IKEA lamp to add RGB light and BT

This project starts a few weeks ago. My six years old daughter usually sleeps with a light on in her bedroom. Talking with her, we decide to hack her LAMPAN Ikea lamp to make some improvements, including a manual RGB controller to set the light colour, a timeout to turn off the light after 30 minutes without changes and a bluetooth connection to control the lamp with a smartphone or tablet. So, if you continue reading the post, you’ll see what we develop! [ ]

Automatic night lamp

Ever imagined how the street lights would turn on automatically in the evening and go off in the morning? Is there anyone who comes early morning to turn off these lights? The following circuit can perform this job properly. This circuit uses the output from a simple light/dark activated circuit and drives a relay in its output which can be further coupled to switch on/off an electrical appliance in a household. An appliance can be made dark or light activated by slightly changing the circuit’s configuration. This idea finds numerous applications such as, automatic watering of gardens at evening, automatic night lamp, dark activated siren and so on. A light dependent resistor (LDR) is used in this circuit to provide input to a comparator of LM339 (refer Automatic light dark indicator). The output pin of the comparator goes high depending on the configuration of LDR so that it can be made light or dark activated. This output is connected to a transistor T1 (BC 547) which acts as a swi...
