Build a Inexpensive Car Protection Unit Circuit Diagram

This is a simple Inexpensive car Protection Unit Circuit Diagram. This circuit to protect car stereo, etc from pilferage that costs less and requires no adjustments in the car but a good car cover. Place the circuit at your bedside and bring the two wires from the unit to the car (parked outside your home) and connect one wire-end to the cover and the other to the ground, with both wire-ends shorted by some weight such as a brick. So outwardly the mechanism is not visible. Circuit of car protection unit with alarm If someone tries to remove the cover, the alarm of the circuit starts sounding to alert you. The alarm can be switched off by resetting it using switch S1. The car protection circuit comprises two timer ICs: one for the alarm circuit (see IC2 in Fig.1) and the other to indicate that the battery has taken over as the power source (see IC3 in Fig. 2). Normally, the protector operates off AC mains and the battery takes over only when mains fail. As the battery current is not...

How to Make a Simple Solar Tracker Circuit Dual Axis

There are some hopes that the sun will become a main source of energy in the 21st century. By then, sources of oil will be almost exhausted and will only play a minor part in the supplying of energy. Interested to know how to make a simple solar tracker with dual axis? Learn More The present interest in solar energy is therefore not surprising. Some work has already been done with solar cells and solar panels . However, these only operate with optimum performance when positioned exactly at right- angles to the sun. Unfortunately, this situation is not usual in our latitudes unless the solar panels are rotated with respect to the sun. The efficiency of a solar panel system can be improved if the panels track the sun, and remain as long as possible at the most favorable angle of incidence.  The circuitry required is relatively simple. lt uses a window comparator which keeps the drive motor idle, as long as the two LDrs are subjected to the same illumination. Half the operating v...

This is a smart battery charger can protect your vehicle's battery from failing and will prolong its life – they're fully automatic so you can connect and forget.

Build a Latching Continuity Checker Circuit Diagram

Latching is a fastening, as for a door or gate, typically consisting of a bar that fits into a notch or slot and is lifted from either side by a lever or string. A continuity tester is an item of electrical test equipment used to determine. This circuit detects brief shorts or opens. When S2 is in the up position, the circuit indicates if there is or was continuity by lighting LED1. U1A and U1B are connected as an R-S flip-flop. SI resets the tester. When S2 is in the down position, a momentary interruption in continuity will light LED1. This tester is good for detecting intermittent shorts or opens.  Latching Continuity Checker Circuit Diagram

Build a 2M 6M Transverter Circuit Diagram

Using the bilateral properties of a balanced mixer this transvertcr will produce 6-m output with 2-m inputs. Y1 is a 90-MHz crystal. Note that the input on 2 m is 143 to 144 MHz for 53 to 54-MHz output. This avoids possibility of extraneous 2-m reception during receive periods. If your radio will not transmit below 144 MHz, then use a 93- or 94-MHz crystal frequency. 2M 6M Transverter Circuit Diagram Build a 2M 6M Transverter Circuit Diagram

Tutorial Making a Cheap BLUETOOTH connection device

Ready Bluetooth solutions are often quite expensive. The cheapest Bluetooth modules that are currently commercially available, there are from the Chinese manufacturer Rayson . The modules BTM-112 (Class 2) and BTM-222 (Class 1) each cost around 15 €. Since the modules are designed for 3.3V supply voltage is required for connection to a 5V system in addition to a 3.3V voltage regulator for 2 level converter (Level Shifter) for the UART signals. In addition, you do not want to give up a status display with LED safely. The price of a module is still all in all about 20 €. The circuit The circuit of the Bluetooth module is designed to operate on a 5V system. As a voltage regulator, a controllable LM317L is used.Similarly, a 3.3V voltage regulator such as the LF33CV could be used. Level converter A level converter (English Level Shifter) is used to adjust signal levels of different voltage levels. A typical example of a level converter is for example a RS232 converter. This converts the 1...

Build a Power On Reset Circuit Diagram

This is a simple power on switching circuit . This type of reset pulse is ideally provided by this circuit. Because of the high input impedance of the Schmidt trigger, long reset pulse times may be achieved without the excess dissipation that results when both output devices are on simultaneously, as in an ordinary gate device (B). A reset pulse is often required at power-on in a digital system. See circuit diagram below. Simple Power On Reset Circuit Diagram

Installing Graph Tech saddles on a Tune O Matic bridge

Removing and replacing the saddles on a Tune-O-Matic (TOM) bridge can be a confusing and somewhat fiddly process, but really isn’t that difficult. Note, though, that there have been several variations of the TOM bridge, and the process differs slightly from model to model. Also important to note is that each different bridge requires a different set of Graph Tech saddles, so make sure you buy the right ones. Go here to check which model you need: http://www.graphtech.com/products.html?SubCategoryID=34 Here’s the patient. It’s a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio. If you look closely, you can see that the strings have started to make their own slots where they shouldn’t, though that's not the only reason for this upgrade. The bridge in question is a Nashville pre-2000 bridge, which means the required Graph Tech saddles are part number PS-8500-00. Once the strings are removed, the bridge lifts off very easily. In fact, be careful it doesn’t fall off when you aren’t paying attention (same go...

Build a 1W Long Range FM Transmitter Circuit Diagram

How to Build a 1W Long Range FM Transmitter Circuit Diagram. This is a simple1W Long Range FM Transmitter Circuit Diagram. This is a long range, very stable, harmonic free, FM transmitter circuit which can be used for FM frequencies between 88 and 108 MHz. With good antenna transmitter can cover 5km range.   1W Long Range FM Transmitter Circuit Diagram It has a very stable oscillator because it uses LM7809 voltage regulator which is a 9V stabilized power supply for T1 transistor. Frequency adjustment is achieved by using the 10K linear potentiometer. The output power of this long range RF transmitter is around 1W but can be higher if you use transistors like KT920A, BLX65, BLY81, 2N3553, 2SC1970 or 2SC1971.

Hofner Colorama II restoration project part 19 Re winding a pickup

You will, no doubt, remember the post where I cleaned out all the electronics on our vintage Hofner Colorama II guitar (http://diystrat.blogspot.com/2011/12/hofner-colorama-ii-restoration-project_12.html). Previously I wasn’t getting any sound from the bridge pickup, but considering this… … was the volume pot for that particular pickup, I was hopeful that after cleaning it out with contact cleaner, the sound would come back. However, after plugging the whole thing in, it became apparent that there was another problem. The (working) neck pickup measures a very healthy 4.9kohms. And this is the bridge pickup: Which is my multi-meter’s way of saying infinity ohms (or in other words a completely dead pickup). Well, I did say a long time ago that part of the reason I was doing this restoration was to learn new things. I guess this latest problem might as well go in there too, so today's (unplanned) blog post will be about how to repair/rewire/rewind a guitar pickup. After quite a bit of...
